We know we won’t be getting it here at Vickar Ford, but we couldn’t help but talk about it. Just a little. It’s the new 2020 Ford Focus ST, the latest generation of the most powerful front-wheel drive Ford Focus available on the market. The new-generation ST will get more power, more technology, and a redesigned look.

We’d love for Ford to decide to bring the Focus ST onto the market over here, but we don’t think that will happen just yet. For now, it will be reserved for the European market.

Powering the Ford Focus ST is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine with 276 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque which sends its power to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

Buyers in Europe will be able to opt for a 2.0-liter, EcoBlue diesel engine with 187 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Among some other nifty features of the new Ford Focus ST, we can include the rev-matching feature for the manual gearbox and a new limited slip front differential for better power distribution and less torque steer.
